Biography:
Mary J. Bugg (1816-?) was the daughter of Jesse Bugg and Martha (Patsy) Andrews. Mary wed Zachariah Calhoun, a Methodist lay minister, and they moved to Massac Co., Illinois.
Description:
Mary almost completed her sampler. The green area of stitching in the lower left hand corner may have been the base for a basket or vase.
